August 18

I want to thank so many of you that responded to my blog (Dan); many of you just replied via email or called one of our phone numbers. If you scroll down to bottom of current blog you will see comments. If you make your comments there, others can read them and be inspired as well and I can keep them in the same place for future use and easy access.

Many want to come and read or sign hymms with Marsha and she would love it for a half hour at a time; just call my number to schedule 235 8421.

Some have asked about bringing food. Marsha is on a strict diet of fresh organic steamed veges and grains, so I fix them for her each meal fresh. Then I fix my meal mostly as Marsha is heading off to bed.

Love ya, Dan

Marsh & Dan,

I just read for the first time about your battle. Cindy and I will be praying for you daily. I also added you to our board & staff prayer list. We pray every Thursday morning from 8-9:30 (summer) and 7-8:30 (school year). I will be praying that God gives you the strength to endure the unedurable, not the earthly strength of gritting your teeth, but the glory strength that comes from knowing Him deeply and itimately.

In Him,

Dirk

Dan and Marsha,
May the Lord always be your strength. If I were down there in southern California I would come over and sing to Marsha, but since I am not I want to type up the words to a song that comes from God's Word:

The Everlasting God

Strength will rise when we wait upon the Lord, wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord (repeat)

Our God You reign forever
Our Hope our strong Deliverer

You are the Everlasting God
The Everlasting God
You do not faint
You won't grow weary
You're the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles

Praise God He is Everlasting!!!!
You and Marsha will always be special to me as I know that you were instrumental in praying me into the kingdom. May you feel the comfort of the Lord, the comfort that only He can give. Tom and I love you so much!!!!!

Dan and Marsha,
We love you both. We are praying for you several times a day as the Lord brings you to mind. Thank you for your Godly example of a couple serving the Lord together. We know you both have such a heart for sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with others. Thank you Marsha for your prayers and counsel during the prayer times at your house. Those moments were very timely in my life. You are a blessing to me! We love you both. Keep your eyes on Jesus.

"It will be worth it all when we see Jesus...one look at His dear face all sorrow will erase, so boldly run the race til we see Christ."

We love you,

I just read an email update from Danelle but wanted to give you a poem that has encouraged me lately. . .
But if impatient, thou let slip thy cross,
thou wilt not find it in this world again,
Nor in another; here, and here alone,
Is given thee to suffer for God's sake.
In other worlds we shall more perfectly
Serve Him and love Him, praise Him, work for Him,
Grow near and nearer Him with all delight;
But then we shall not any more be called
to suffer, which is our appointment here.
Canst thou not suffer then one hour--or two?
a portion of a poem by Ugo Bassi as quoted in Elizabeth Elliot's Keep a Quiet Heart, page 67.
We will continue to pray for your endurance. 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

Marsha & Dan~

Danelle sent an update earlier this week. So I wanted to send an encouraging verse for you.....So we do not lose heart. Though our outer nature is wasting away our inner nature is being renewed day by day. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18. Thank goodness we have such an eternal hope! Keep the faith! You are in my prayers!!!

Dan, Marsha, and family,

We are so sad to hear how things are going lately, not at all what we had hoped and prayed for. We really believe in miracles and expect one for you. God loves you so much more than anyone and His love is perfect. He only wants what is best for each of us. We never understand why we must go thru what we have to, but He does, and it is all for eventual good.

We thank God often for placing you in our lives when He did. Knowing you both has encouraged us as we try to walk with faith. Your friendship is very special to us. We will continue to pray for a miracle, as I know God wants us to. We keep coming back to He loves us so much and will always do what is best for us.

Love, Rick and Barb
